Batik art can be found around the world, and some of the earliest examples date back over 2000 years. Batik is especially popular on Java Island, Indonesia, where it has developed into a sophisticated art form.
Traditional artisans use a complex multi-stage process to create batik. They alternate the drawing of intricate hot wax designs with the hand-dipping of the silk into colorful dyes. Throughout additional stage of the process they also dip the silk into vats of boiling water to remove the wax. Some of the finest examples require months to produce.
All feels good scarf - soft silk, drapes well, beautiful designs and colors, unique treasure made by the finest batik artists, contributes to preservation of this ancient art and livelihood of the artisans.

As a young girl growing up in Indonesia, I fell in love with traditional art, including Batik. While traveling the country, an enormous appreciation developed for this unique, Indonesian art form with its beautiful motifs and vibrant colors.
I am professionally trained and practicing as an architect, but thrilled about designing my own line of authentic, beautiful, high quality handmade batik, and unique accessories.
Working with the finest batik artists in historic, batik producing towns in Indonesia, not only supporting these small, family operated artists, and help sustain this beautiful art, but also enriching American fashion.
I love making women look and feel beautiful.
